School Council

St Vincent's Catholic Primary School has an active School Council who meet regularly to discuss ways that we could improve our school and raise money, both for school funds and for charity.

Our School Council has 14 member: 2 from Year 1, 2, 3, 4M, 4W, 5 and 6.

Planned Projects for 2018 - 2019:

Anti-bullying week assembly, competition and activities

Wise Up Award application

Design a Prayer Garden as part of the wider development of the allotment area

Charity fund-raising
Anti-Bullying Week

During Anti-Bullying Week, the School Council helped to lead the launch assembly for the whole school. They also organised a competition to get everyone actively involved.

Following on from Anti-Bullying Week activities in school, the Year 5 and 6 School Council members then worked with pupils from St Gregory's Catholic High School who initially led some activities in our school. We then visited the High School and led some workshop activities for them!
Wise Up Award

Two of our School Governors came into school following Anti-Bullying Week and met with School Council who fed back on all the activities that had been going on in school.
The School Council then met with Mr Vernon to apply for the Wise Up Award 2019.  The evidence that the School Council provided earned us the Gold Wise Up Award for a second year running. What a fantastic achievement!
