Friends of St Vincent's
Every member of our school community, by being in some way associated with St Vincent's Catholic Primary School, is automatically a member of "The Friends of St Vincent’s". At it's core are a small group of parent volunteers who organise events, such as a Christmas Fair, Summer Fair, movie nights and disco nights, to bring us together as a whole community and to raise valuable additional funds for our school.
Money raised in the past has been used to buy new books to improve the quality of books that children bring home, IT equipment, and outdoor play equipment. They do a fantastic job, but are always looking for more volunteers to help organise and run events. If you are interested in discussing how you can help, please contact school and we can pass on your details.
If you unable to give time to help organise and run events, then please do your best to support and attend the events that are organised. The money raised from these events is becoming ever more important as our school budget becomes further squeezed.
Money raised this year by the Friends of St Vincent’s has been recently used to funds:
A School Council led project to develop the allotment area into a gardening area, outdoor learning space and outdoor prayer space
Subsidising trips and experiences for classes
Updating classroom environments
IT equipment
