Our classroom

Hello and welcome to Maple Class. I’m Miss Flynn, a Year 2 teacher who loves seeing children take the lead in their learning and come through the classroom door bursting with individuality. I believe every child has something unique to offer, and I strive to create a classroom where children feel confident to be themselves, share their ideas and develop a genuine love of learning.

I love being outdoors, exploring nature and discovering the world through travelling, and I aim to bring this sense of wonder and curiosity into my teaching. I want children to be curious not only about the world around them and who they are. Most importantly, I want every child to believe that they can be anything and anyone they aspire to be.

When I’m not exploring the outdoors, I enjoy painting, geocaching, escape rooms and playing the piano and I like the classroom to be just as creative and fun also.

As our school’s SENCO, I am especially passionate about inclusive teaching. I want every child to feel heard, valued and able to play an active part in our classroom. In Year 2, we celebrate our differences, learn from one another and encourage everyone to be loving, courageous risk-takers, supportive team players and proud of who they are.

We would love to welcome you into our school family and hope that, when you visit us, you feel right at home, as much as we do.
